The Buccaneers S1

CG, Matchmove, DMP & Compositing.

For The Buccaneers (Season 1), I worked at NVIZ supporting the delivery of VFX across a range of CG set extensions and compositing work. This included Victorian London environments, delivered through a combination of CG builds and detailed DMP brought to life in comp. With lidar data available for the sets, I managed the matchmove process, overseeing camera tracking and layout alignment to ensure the CG set extensions integrated accurately into the plate photography. Crowd scenes were achieved by compositing multiple passes of live-action extras, which were layered and integrated in comp to build scale and density. I managed outsourced roto alongside internal teams, keeping schedules, shot tracking and quality aligned across multiple workstreams. The work also spanned beautification, clean-ups, retimes and foreground/background element integration, requiring close coordination to maintain continuity and pace across delivery.
